FAQ: Two College Questions

1. What about college do most high school grads. really look forward to?
Well really I feel that most high school students look forward to the next step in there life which is     going to college, but really the experience that everyone gains from going to college. Maybe along     with that how most student get to experience the real world and what it's like to be on there own for   a little while. Well that's at least what I think.

2. Do high school grads. really understand the reality about how hard college is?
In my honest opinion I feel that every high school student has a false reality as to how college works, such as how hard it is to manage yourself if you have a job and three class on the same day. I feel that we all tend to fantasize that just applying and getting to college is the hardest part because you have to wait on that acceptance letter, but really it's the managing and studying and actually having to pay for school. I guess that reality sets in when college is right around the corner.

  1. What I think high school graduates look forward to the most about college is the general experience. What I look forward to the most is getting involved and making the most out of my college experience. Going to college is a great chance to get to meet new people and maybe even find out new things about yourself.
I feel like high school students do understand how hard going to college can be. We know that it is a lot different than high school. The way classes are given are different, we know that we need to manage our time accordingly, and that it is way more stressful. I feel like we just don’t actually realize and come to terms with the reality until we are actually experiencing it.

  2. I understand the whole concept of college and the requirements you need to attend. Although, what really bothers me is that most students/adults claim it's a difficult process. Which questions me because if you can't handle that long process and it's stressing you out and also you start doubting yourself. Whats the point of going college if just applying is stressing you out. Imagine the other things you'll have to do. Are you going to have the same attitude? I believe college is only for the person that wants it and shouldn't be pressured from parents because at the end it's your life. You have the right to do whatever you want. But society wants you to think your not worth anything if you don't go to college or follow some sort of education . Like I said " it's up to you, whether or not you want to go" what do you think ?

  3. I honestly feel like college isn't going to be easy for us, but it is just a thought. It completely depends on yourself most of the time. Iv'e heard plenty of times from friends and family that college isn't as easy as you think it is and I believe them. I feel like I'm going to struggle in college, but I know if I work hard enough i'll achieve anything that comes my way. besides the point I feel like the graduates don't understand how hard college really is.
