America
I see now just how much our country has neglected our health. With food deserts on the rise and people caring less and less about what goes into their bodies our country has slowly become something different. Some people don't have a choice in the matter whether its because the food their provided or lack of funds they have. Some do though and I think it's up to those to change the way America eats. The high pricing on healthy food is also a problem and needs to be taken up with the government. That's another fight for another day though. I look at my home cooked meals my mom makes now with a different perspective and really value the time, thought and effort she put into it. Knowing full well that she takes time out of her day to make sure we're feed and healthy at the same time. If I had this knowledge about our food that I do today I think I would have been a lot more consciousness about what I put in my body rather than blindly eating away. Not giving into what they say and really looking for the truth behind the food. I wouldn't have contributed to the fast food era as much and taken cooking from home a hard, healthy meal a lot more seriously. What goes into your body matters and that's what should be emphasized to people more often. To help change the food industry I think we should encourage people to stray away from that burger that they so desperately want and steer them towards healthier options. We can teach them from young age to like healthier things that way when they grow up they've grown to like it. It's etched into there brains and that's what they will go for. I would also try to get the government to mark down the pricing on the healthier food items so people are more inclined to buy it. Some people don't buy it because they simply cant afford it.

I agree entirely, the food industry is only concerned about the profit they can make off of us, their cons7mers. They pay no mind to what their products do to our health.
