Conglomerate's are the problem!

My research question is asking what can the government do, through regulations and education, to change the way food is grown, processed, and marketed to fix the health issues caused by the food industry. Through my research I have begun to learn that the food industry has affected everyone, everywhere in the world. It has reached the point to become a worldwide epidemic that requires the regulation from all the leading countries in the world to start making a change. The U.S. also suffers the most because we are notorious for having a connection between the F.D.A., the people that chose what can eat, the lawmakers, and big name food companies, i.e. Monsanto, Tyson, etc. But there's only so much that the government's legislatures can do, which is why they also need to implement education courses to all schools to start rebuilding the next generations to become healthy and natural again.
More things I hope to learn through my research are the specific ways the government has contributed to the health issues that affect us today, what a normal person can do to make sure they are healthy and supporting the right people (no big, harmful corporations), and how to properly view advertisements without being misled.

  1. I couldn't agree more! The education of healthy eating is increasingly important. If we educate the young, we would create a generation that is more aware. A more aware society would help disrupt the system and spark the change necessary to become a healthier society. These younger people are the only hope we have to take back our dignity and our health.
