Monsanto has an incredibly large stake in the food industry, particularly in the section of genetically modified organisms. Upon inspection of the phrase "genetically modified organism", you can find an inherent imperfection in the term, which ironically counterbalances the purpose of its invention: to make perfect food. The problem with trying to make a product of nature perfect is that nature itself isn't perfect. Sure, a wheat plant might have a difficult time fighting off bacteria, and the average chicken might not grow fast enough to meet the demands of the people (or, in reality, the corporation trying to stuff the people until they're as fat as the chickens themselves), but the interesting thing about nature is that there's more of a chance of it working on its own than there is if someone tries to alter it.
That's where people find their problem with Monsanto: they're the ones that like to do the altering. Nobody really asked for them to do it- they just started doing it because it resulted in them making more money. When we eat, we don't look to fill someone's pockets with every dollar we have. The corporation doesn't matter to us; what matters is the food. We're hungry. Plain and simple.
