This article is a very reliable source. I came across it when Ms. Colln gave us two websites for sources. It is from science.bigchalk.com, written in 2103 by Tufts University Health & Nutrition. This article is basically talking about why we should not trust GMO’s and how to be aware of it. It goes into detail on how the GMO foods you'll find on supermarket shelves fall into the category of having been engineered for increased yields, rather than a nutritional enhancement. The idea of this article, in my opinion, is to give the basic breakdowns on what, where, who, and how it affects us in the long run. It also talks about the fears that the proteins in such foods could cause new allergies or adverse effects on the immune system of humans and shows the differences between GMOs and organic foods. Another thing I found interesting about this article is the evidence he provides. The evidence he gives is all reliable because some were from United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration, and the American Medical Association. This website has other articles that are very useful for your food politics research. Another good thing about this article is it is from a University, so I know their sources are true and not fake. This will appeal to both sides, those who are considering Gmo’s are harmful and should not be in the supermarket and other stores or to those who think they are helpful to humans and brings more to the table.
