Over the years while growing up my mindset has changed completely about food and where it comes from. I had always heard that fast food was bad for you but I never really understand why. Something that always came to my head when I ate fast food was that it has to be safe if these fast food restaurants sell it. I never thought of eating food as a bad thing especially if I bought it from local grocery stores. Not even crossing my mind that these foods can be shipped from hundreds to thousands of miles away, the conditions of the animals/produce, how the animals are treated, and lastly what chemicals? I will forever remember this food unit in ERW especially because it really opened up my eyes as to how food should actually be and how it is produced at a cheaper and more unsafe quality. The reason food companies do this is only to benefit and i'm wondering why the government and people in charge of food and health haven't done anything about it. Everywhere I go I notice every little thing about my food for example, tasting whats fresh and whats been sitting for too long. I still get weird about eating corn considering that its gotten so popular. By popular I mean that its one of the top leading crops in the United States. I also mean that big leading corporations who own different GMOs have so much money and all they are really worried about is there income. My reasoning behind this is that companies who make GMOs know that seeds blow onto neighboring fields and they still go and sue the non GMO farmers so they basically have to stop farming. So as of now everywhere I go to eat I make sure I'm not eating anything too terrible and too fatty or nasty.
