My research topic is centered around the idea of school lunch having an affect on student performance. While searching for useful sources I found an article that is reliable and useful to my topic and it can be useful to you as well. The idea of this article is that school food is unhealthy and by being unhealthy it intervenes with Student academics, energy and so on. For many schools the easiest route is the cheapest route which is pre made processed foods.
For those of you reading this with topics related to GMOs and pesticides I believe this article is for you. This article has separate sections focusing on Pesticides and GMOS in students lunch and how it can affect their health. It provides Statistics and credible sources to backup their claims.http://www.ceeonline.org/greenguide/food/upload/studenthealth.aspx
My topic is not centered around this but I find it interesting especially since I have always wondered about school lunch. Unfortunately money will always be an issue which explains why the food isn't so good, because cheaper stuff usually isn't health or natural, it's mostly all oil, fat, and sugar. I also want to connect this with the Netfix show that we watched because in the video he talked about how nobody really uses silverware anymore because fast food is centered around not needing that and only having to use your hands. At school the majority of the food can be eaten simply with your hands.
